About Me
My journey as a runner began during my twenties, where running was part of my training as an amateur boxer. I participated in various fell races and road marathons, which laid the foundation for my passion for endurance sports. Later, I embraced Muay Thai boxing, competing internationally and proudly representing Scotland at the World Amateur Championships in Bangkok, Thailand, in 2004.
Over a decade ago, I discovered ultrarunning and fell in love with its unique challenges. Since then, I’ve completed over 70 ultramarathons and running challenges. My experiences span a wide range—from a 5K Vertical Kilometer race and demanding mountain runs to 100-mile track races, backyard ultras, and the grueling 268-mile Winter Spine Race.
In 2020 I became only the second person to run the Steve Parr round in the Lake District in under 48 hours (61 peaks, 116 miles 46’00ft ascent) and in 2022 I became only the third person to complete a Solo Unsupported Winter Bob Graham round.
In 2022, I represented England in the Four Nations Backyard Ultra Trophy, securing a win at the Lionsgate Backyard Ultra in Wales and achieving a 2nd-place “assist” finish in the English event. I was honoured to compete on the UK team in the World Team Championships that same year and served as team captain for England in the Four Nations event in 2023.
I firmly believe that extraordinary achievements are within reach for ordinary people. No two runners are the same—each of us brings our own unique lifestyle, goals, and commitments to the journey. My philosophy is that a balanced approach to training can help anyone pursue their ambitions while maintaining harmony with family, work, and personal life.
Through bespoke training plans tailored to your specific needs and priorities, I aim to help you maximize your potential and make the most of your time. Together, we’ll transform your goals into achievements while ensuring that your training is both effective and enjoyable.
